FREE Movie Theater Tickets!

My husband I both enjoy seeing movies in the theater, but it's gotten so expensive! I'm always on the lookout for ways to make date night cheaper, so I was thrilled to come across these two different FREE movie ticket offers!

We stopped at Walmart to get some frozen pizza and a free Redbox movie for a family night, and came across these specially marked Red Baron pizzas!  You get a free movie ticket when you buy any 4 marked packages (which include Red Baron, Freschetta, Tony's, or Pagoda Express products).
The pizzas were $3.33 each and the free ticket is worth up to $12 - that's a difference of $1.32.  Not bad, $13.32 for four pizzas and a movie! (and could even be cheaper if you had coupons!)

*Limit of two certificates per household. Offer good through 8/31/13.

I found these General Mills cereals at Meijer that offered a free movie ticket (worth up to $12) when you buy only 2 boxes of specially marked cereal! Your total cost will vary based on the reg./sale price, whether or not you have coupons...etc.  But, unless your cereal is $6 a box, lol, you'll still pay less for the cereal than for a movie ticket!  =)  And the best part may be, I don't see any limit of how many you can redeem!  We probably bought 8 or 10 boxes and have had some super cheap dates!

*Codes must be entered by 12/6/13.

*HOT* 2 Movie Tickets for $13!

Half Off Depot
(a daily deal site, similar to Groupon) is offering Two Movie Tickets for $13 today! (under Entertainment Deals)  I'd think these would sell out fast!

My husband loves going to a theater for movies, but the prices make me cringe, so I bought mine to surprise him with a cheap date night!  =)

*Limit of 5 vouchers per person, per household.  Read the details for how to redeem.

FREE and Cheap Movies at Theaters this Summer!

My kids love going to the movie theater and I love having a nice air conditioned place to go during the summer, but I do not love the prices!  Luckily, there are quite a few theaters who are offering FREE and cheap family movie programs this summer!

Passionate Penny Pincher has put together a great list of theaters offering these programs!  Also, be sure to check your local theaters if they're not listed to see if they have their own cheap/free movies.  We have a theater that offers $3 tickets all the time, and another that has new release movies for $4 every Sunday night -- those are our date nights.  =)

Friday Feature: FREE Fall Movies!

Ahh.....the weather has cooled down, school has started and it's currently perfect to light a yummy fall scented candle, curl up with a hooded sweatshirt, a cup of tea or cocoa, and life is good!  I know some are sad to see Summer go, but to me, this is bliss!

To ease the pain a bit of Summer ending, many theaters are starting free Fall movie series.  At least in the West Michigan area, there are a couple theaters I know of for sure that are offering FREE and cheap movies........

Cinema Carousel is offering "Flick's Family Film Festival" which starts today, September 9th and goes through November 3rd.  Each week there will be a different movie shown, FREE for children 12 and under, and $3.50 for adults.  There are a few among the list that the kids and I would like to see (and my hubzy won a popcorn bucket, so we'll have free popcorn too!).....
  • Monte Carlo
  • Mr. Popper's Penguins
  • Rango (which I do not recommend!)
  • Rio
  • Kung Fu Panda 2
  • Zookeeper
  • The Smurfs
  • Shrek Forever After

Goodrich Quality Theaters (which is Grand Haven 9 for my local readers) has "Fall Free Movies" which runs September 10th through November 6th.  Everyone is FREE!  Shows are Saturday and Sunday at 9 and 10am. Tickets are first come, first serve.  Intermission with every show.
  • 9/10-9/11 - Hoodwinked Too
  • 9/17-9/18  - Yogi Bear
  • 9/24-9/25 - Hop
  • 10/1-10/2 - Rio
  • 10/8-10/9 - Judy Moody
  • 10/15-10/16 - Mr. Popper's Penguins
  • 10/22-10/23 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
  • 10/29-10/30 - Kung Fu Panda 2
  • 11/5-11/6 - Zookeeper

Do you know of any other theaters offering FREE fall movies series?  Which movies are you looking forward to?  What have you seen lately that you liked or would recommend?  Are you loving this Fall weather.......or wishing Summer would stay?  ;)
