Walgreens Weekly Deals ~ April 26 - May 2

The EasySaver Rebate program is now officially over, and they are obviously pushing the Register Rewards a lot. While I'm not a huge fan of RR's personally, they do have some great deals going on! And a lot of them are great donation items if you don't need them personally!
(Like I posted before, they may be going to a rebate system that prints out the rebate form at the register to mail in, but I don't have confirmation about that yet either way.)

A little Register Rewards 101:
~ A Register Reward is a coupon that prints out of a Catalina machine when you checkout, good towards your next purchase.

~ You can use a RR to pay for another RR item, but not if it's from the same brand - the 2nd RR won't print out if you do. For example, you can buy the Nivea body wash, get the $4.99 RR and use it towards the Rembrandt toothpaste, but not another Nivea.

~ You won't get cash back for any extra left on your RR - if you bought the Rembrandt toothpaste, got the $5.99 RR and wanted to buy the $4.99 Nivea on your next transaction, you'd need a $1.xx "filler" item to use up the rest. (RR's aren't good on tax, so make sure your filler covers the tax)

~ Keep an eye on the expiration dates - they usually expire 1 1/2 - 2 weeks from the time they print. I have been able to use them after their expiration date, but like any coupon it may be up to your cashier.

~ RR's count in the register as a manufacturer's coupon and you can only have 1 manQ per item, so you may need "filler" items (that don't need a coupon) to "attach" the RR's to.

~ Because of the limitations on RR's, you may have to do separate transactions to make them all work. To help things go smoothly, get organized before checking out, let your cashier know ahead of time, and be courteous - to your cashier and other customers. If you have more than a couple transactions, and people are behind you, you may want to let them go ahead of you or offer them a coupon or two for their items. A little consideration goes a long way to keep fellow customers and cahiers happy with "us crazy couponers". =)

~ They can be a little confusing to start (or longer, lol), if you have any questions or any other tips - leave a comment!

**For a few deals this week, the coupon is worth more than the item, so the register will probably beep. Then they'll either manually enter the coupon amount for face value or adjust the coupon down to the price of the item. Or, you can buy more than one of the item and that usually keeps it from beeping (like in the Ecotrin example below).
