What a lovely vacation!

Ahhh.....what a great time! My husband and I returned from our vacation a couple days ago, refreshed, renewed, and so thankful for a much needed week away!
Yes, we really did miss the kids, =) but we also very much enjoyed our break and our bit o' freedom. It made coming home to them that much better. We've been soaking up the time with them since we got back, and now it's time to start catching up on a few things......including blogging. =)
(pardon the pictures - I'm no pro, and we were traveling so our appearance wasn't always "up to par", lol)

Here are a few highlights of our trip....

~ safe travel that we loved taking our time driving (sans the usual 837 potty stops with kids!)
~ we had great conversation and laughter....and also enjoyed the quiet together

~ we loved the beautiful views traveling through the different states! Overall we had amazing weather and we even got a rainbow!

~ wonderful time visiting with old friends and making new ones
~ beautiful wedding for an amazing couple! (I forgot the camera on the wedding day!)

~ a phenomenal day on the beach at the Gulf of Mexico......a-ma-zing! literally, the most perfect day at the beach possible!

~ we mosied our way North from Alabama and visited the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. They have 9 acres of indoor gardens, waterfalls, and an indoor river! Absolutely stunning!!

~ had a great time again with friends at YWAM Louisville (thanks for your awesome hospitality!)
~ took a day and toured downtown Louisville - lots of fun things to do and see! saw lots of amazing architecture, saw "the world's largest baseball bat" and took the tour at the Louisville Slugger museum, saw many unique horses around the city (the "martini" horse was my favorite), and even saw "the Colonel" with his "wee beedy eyes" lol.

It was just a tremendous trip and I'm so grateful. The week was full of fun activites, yet it was still so relaxing!
Now, it's time to unpack, get some laundry done and get back to "real life". =) Thanks for your comments and emails while I was away! I've got some funzies I'm excited to post about!
