I just posted recently about how you can request a check from Magazines.com when they send you $5 gift cards in their emails. If you've ordered from them before you can take this survey and they'll send you a $5 gift card by email.
Then you can request a check or use it towards a subscription. If ordering a magazine, remember to check out these cash back sites first to see what percentage of your purchase price they're offering back - Ebates (currently 26%), Mr. Rebates (25%), or Shop At Home (28%)!
