Kohl's $10 off $10 Coupon - Expired? No problem! (AND a Wrap-Up with a 96% Savings!)

Did you get the $10 off $10 coupon from Kohl's in the mail?  I got one yesterday and they're one of my favorite things to find in the mailbox!  =)

I've mentioned before how much I love Kohl's and how they allow the use of expired Kohl's Cash (for us forgetful people, lol)!  A few weeks ago I went into Kohl's to use a $10/$10 card, but I also had a couple expired $10/$10 coupons that I couldn't let go of....just hoping that I could still use them.

Since I had such a good experience with the expired Kohl's Cash, I decided to ask if I could use the expired $10/$10 coupons....the cashier said no problem!!  AND she let me use all three on one purchase!

I was able to get my daughter a pair of shorts, 4 undergarments, and 2 tanks for me (that are "regular", but will work great for my maternity belly too!)...all for $2.79!!

Retail Price: $77.61
Sale Price: $32.79
- Three $10/$10 Q's: $30
Final Price = $2.79!!  Saved 96%!

Obviously, this policy may be vary from store to store, but it is definitely worth asking about!!  There was something that rang up wrong and a manager helped me to get it straightened out -- even after voiding and re-ringing it 4 times because of computer trouble, he never mentioned that there was any problem with using multiple $10/$10 cards either!  That makes me think it's probably a chain-wide policy.  This makes the procrastinator in me really happy!  =)

Rite-Aid Clearance Finds and Wrap-Up for 4/15/12! Saved 80%!

I haven't seen anything crazy good at Walgreens or Rite-Aid over the last couple weeks, so I haven't been doing any match-ups for the blog.  This Sunday though I had $6 in +UP Rewards that expired, so I had to make a Rite-Aid run.  I found some unadvertised goodies I thought I'd share!

There was a random assortment of food clearanced 75% off like these.....

Uncle Ben's rice for .60¢, Green Giant veggies for .40¢, Sunsweet prunes for .75¢, DelMonte pineapple for .50¢, and RA dried apricots for .82¢.....cheaper than Aldi's prices!
I didn't have any coupons with me for these items, but it seems like there might be some out there.  And your Rite-Aid may have a different assortment of clearance too.  Keep an eye out and let me know what you find!

Here's what I bought....
1 Sunsweet prunes
2 Uncle Ben's rice
1 Rite-Aid apricots
6 Del Monte pineapple
3 Green Giant veggies
2 General Mills cereal (2/$5, - $1/2 MQ, - $1 +UP wyb 2 = $1.50ea.)
2 Playtex binkies (with rain check and coupons from a few weeks ago = FREE)

Retail Price: $47.33
Sale Price: $21.94
- Coupons: $10.98
- +UP Rewards: $1
= $9.96.......a 79% savings!

Rite-Aid Wrap-Up (3/11 - 3/17/12) Saved 78%!

I had some +UP Rewards that expired earlier this week and though it was not a great week at Rite-Aid, I was just able to find a couple things to buy.......now I discovered another $10 +UP that was hiding in my Rite-Aid envelope that expires on the 17th!

Hmm, I haven't seen any crazy great deals pop up as the week has gone on, so maybe I'll just have to use it for a rare treat and buy something for myself!  *gasp!
Orrrr, maybe I should be practical and get some tp, lol!  ;p

3 boxes Rice Krispies (GF)
1 box Raisin Bran
4 Snickers Easter eggs

The cereal was B/G and I had $4/4 coupons....so they were $1.40/box.
The Snickers eggs were 2/$2 and you got a $1+UP back wyb 2, I used the $1/2 Mars coupons and got all 4 for Free.

Retail Price: $24.32
Sale Price: $13.58
- Coupons: $6
- +UP Rewards: $2
Final Price = $5.58......78% Savings!

So, what do you think??  Do I use the extra $10 +UP for me or should I "use it wisely" and be practical??  ;)

FREE NYC Color Products at Rite-Aid! And a Wrap-up....Saved 102%!

Last week's run to Rite-Aid was a 102% savings -- a tiny little moneymaker!  The Pantene was the only thing I wanted/needed of last week's deals.  But I also came across this great FREE NYC makeup deal while I was there......details below!

(2) Pantene shampoos (my store was out of the ones producing the extra $1 +UP, so my awesome cashier substituted the last 2 Pantene on the shelf)
(3) NYC Cool Mint lip gloss @ .74¢ each  (reg. $2.99)
(2) NYC nail polish @ .49¢ ea.  (reg. $1.99)
(1) NYC Mocha gloss @ .74¢  (reg. $2.99)

There were quite a few of the NYC Color products clearanced 75% off, and combined with $1/1 printable coupons, and a $1.50/2 coupon from the March All You magazine, I got these 6 NYC items for Free!
*also this week (March 4-10) all NYC products are "B1/G1 50% off", so there may be some great matchups with those coupons too!

Rite-Aid doesn't give overage, so the cashier adjusted the coupons down to just cover the cost of the NYC items (except for one she accidentally missed - which is how I got the profit).  Of course, YMMV, as far as the clearance (and your cashier's mood) goes, but it's definitely worth checking out!

{NYC clearance - nail polish, lip gloss, face powder, etc.}

{NYC mail polish + the coupon from All You magazine}

Retail Price: $25.92
Sale Price: $10.94
- Coupons: $7.46
- +UP Rewards: $4
= FREE + .52¢ Moneymaker!   102% Savings!!

Recent Walgreens and Rite-Aid Wrap-ups - Saved 87% and 90%!

Last week I had a "hit-in-the-face-with-a-mack-truck" kind of cold.  It was like my brain was on pause. I would think of something I needed from another room, go to the room to get it and completely forget what it was - not that that's abnormal, but then I would remember and forget again immediately - 3 times!!
I don't know who took a picture of me while I was sick, but I figured I may as well post it to give you a better idea of how I felt.  ;)

So, I apologize that I missed getting some deals up.  I didn't even go to any stores myself.  It's such a blessing to have a stockpile and not have to!  I'm better now, but I've got a few more sickies in the house, and a different kind of cold is trying to go for round 2!  It's not nearly so vicious as last week's though, so I'm able to get more done.  =)  I've gotten Walgreens and Rite-Aid's best weekly deals up - a little late, but they're up. ;)
Now I thought I'd catch up on posting a couple recent wrap-ups that I somehow forgot about.

At my trip to Walgreens (on 3/12/11) I saved 87%!

2 Always pads
2 Always liners
1 PediaCare
1 Cream of Wheat
2 Transformers coloring books (clearanced about 70% off)
1 Crayola glitter pens (clearanced about 75% off)

Retail Price: $40.82
Sale Price: $25.12
- Coupons: $12
- Register Rewards: $8
Final Price = $5.12

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

And at Rite-Aid I did a little better and saved 90%!  Grace went with me and she thought she was in heaven getting to buy all this "free candy" - that girl does love her candy.  ;)  Since I'm almost drooling over the picture of Reese's, she just may get it from her mama.  ;)

1 Keri lotion
2 Snickers
4 Reese's Mini's King size
4 Hershey's Pieces
2 Trident gum
2 Disney Vitamins (I bought the wrong one, so 1 Disney and 1 Marvel are pictured, but I'm hoping to take it back in and adjust it, so I'll just write this as if I bought the correct one)  =)
1 Marshmallow pop (clearanced 90% off = .14¢  A treat for Grace if she could do the math and figure out 90% off.  I helped her a little, but she got it)

Retail Price: $51.22
Sale Price: $31.08
- Coupons $15.05
- UP and SCR: $10.88
Final Price = $5.15!

My hope is that you are encouraged by these Wrap-Ups and can see what can be done with coupons and sales. If you have any questions, please ask!  You can comment here or on the Super Savings Facebook page
What's the best deal you've gotten lately!  If you have a great "wrap-up" or deal of your own, feel free to post it on the Facebook wall or send it in to share with the other Super Savers!  =)

So, I originally went to Menards to buy this delightfulness..............

Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint....or as I've found it to be affectionately called in blogland - ORB.   I discovered this through my newest favorite blogger, Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick.  Her blog is lovely, her decorating awesome, her writing hilarious, and she's very real....nothing pretentious about her....love her.  The first time I read one of her blog posts to the hubzy he asked me if I was sure I didn't actually write it......it was all so very much what I would've said and how I would've said it.  Her craftiness and style is what I feel like I have hidden inside, lol.  Her new office she's working on is exactly what I want for our office.....I l.o.v.e. it! Anyhoo, great blog, check it out!

Back to my point..........ORB.  I found some blogs that have done a couple amazing things with it lately and I was totally inspired to do it myself - can't. wait. to. show. you!!!  But I'll keep you in suspense for just a bit more.....at least until I have it finished.  ;)

For now, seriously, back to the real point.......ahem, here's what I bought at Menards........

5 Jar candles
5 Cuddle-Ups/off brand "Snuggies" (Oh, yes, I'm planning ahead for White Elephant gift exchanges friends!)

Retail Price: $61.40
Sale Price: $21.45
- mail-in rebates: $32.50
Final Price = $3.95.....Saved 94%!

Rite-Aid Wrap-Up (Part 2) ~ 1/22/11 - Saved 78%

Rite-Aid......take two!   Ok, after my first great trip to Rite-Aid last week, I went back to use my expiring UP Rewards on Saturday - a different store hoping they'd have more clearanced Olay lotion, but nada.
I did however, find oodles of things clearanced 75% off!  Lots of nail items - polish, artificial nails,
tools, files, ....etc.  Quite a few kinds of Physicians Formula makeup were also 75% off ($15 bronzers and powder foundations were marked down to $3.75!)
Oh, and they had a small section of Christmas stuff left over, marked 90% off!

So, I grabbed......

3 boxes of Raisin Bran at 1.99 each (not a great price, but I was having a really hard time finding a way to use those darn UPs, lol!)
4 wine gift bags - 29¢ each
Sally Hansen nail polish remover - .74¢ (and I used a $1 coupon [from 1/9/11 RP], so I got it free, and .26¢ in overage went to the rest!)
Nail buffer - .74¢

Retail Price: $29.91
Sale Price: $8.91
- Coupons: $2
Final Price = $6.61

Staples Wrap-Up ~ 1-20-11 ~ Saved 105%!

Staples offered 7 items completely free after Staples Rewards this past week.  I meant to get a post up to let you know ahead of time, but the week got away from me.  Starting tomorrow they'll have more, and I will post about it!
Staples takes competitors coupons, and Office Max has a $10/$30 printable coupon available! (But it expires today -1/22/11)  I'm hoping there's another one out next week to make those freebies even better!

I'm trying to be more selective about what I buy and bring into our home (even when it's free!), so I just got a few of the freebies that I knew we would use - the banker's boxes, the tote, and the legal pads.  I also came across some clearance items and found a shower radio (that I've wanted for a loong time!) for $6.50 - down from $24.99 I believe. Score!  =)

Retail Price: $64.96
Sale Price: $41.48
- Coupons: $10
- Rewards: $34.98
Final Price = FREE + $3.50 PROFIT!!

Rite-Aid Wrap-Up ~ 1-20-11 ~ Saved 102%!

I only got a couple things at Rite-Aid this week, but they were lovely finds.  I still have to go today though to use my expiring UP Rewards I didn't the other day, so maybe there will be some more.  =)  (I just haven't gotten the courage to get out in this snow again today - blech!)

Rite-Aid had a sweet deal to get free toilet paper and tissues this week, but unfortunately didn't put a limit on it, so there were many shelf-clearers who hogged them all.....and you know how I feel about shelf-clearers.  Anyway, they ended up setting out a limit of 3 once they realized the frenzy that had been caused by offering free T.P.   I couldn't go until later in the week, so I expected nothing to be left, but there was one lonely package of toilet paper left.  They did give me a rain check for the other two though, which surprised me!

Also I had read on a couple of blogs some clearance items that had been found, including Olay Quench Advanced Healing lotion marked down to $1.87 from $7.49 - using the $2/1 coupon (12/26 P&G) made it free plus overage!  Oh, and it wasn't actually marked to show the new price, but when I had my daughter take it to the cashier to price check it, it came up at $1.87.

Retail Price: $15.98
Sale Price: $4.64
- Coupons: $4
- UP Rewards: $1
Final Price = FREE + .36¢ PROFIT!!
